Trango Cinch Improved (Ended)
It’s time to upgrade to the Trango Cinch. Think your tube-style device is good enough? Ha. You poor thing. What happens the next time you’re belaying and you’re killed by rockfall? Besides the fact that you’re dead, your leader is suddenly off-belay and might not even know it. If you’re using a tube-style device then your lead climber is quite suddenly doing a free solo. BUT- if you’re using the Cinch your leader at least has a pretty good chance that your dead body (with attached Cinch) can stop his fall. While the Cinch is not a substitute for good belaying technique, it does give you that peace of mind that comes with it’s locking assist technology. Still not convinced you need one?
